Who runs SpaceCoastBaseball.com?
SpaceCoastBaseball.com is owned and operated by Stephen C. Smith, a lifelong baseball fan.
Are you paid by any team? Do they control your content?
No. And no. SpaceCoastBaseball.com has no official affiliation with any professional or amateur organization. The web site's
philosophy is service-oriented. It is a non-commerical web site.
Is this your full-time job?
No, although sometimes it seems that way!
How do you pay for all this?
It comes out of my own pocket. None of the professional or amateur organizations contribute financially to SpaceCoastBaseball.com.
Do you accept contributions?
Of course. Every extra penny helps to keep this going. The more money that comes in, the more research I can afford.
How often is the site updated?
During the regular season, I try to update it every morning. During the off-season, as time and circumstances permit.
You posted a link but I can't get it to work.
I have no control over what happens with the pages at other sites. If you've found a link that is
no longer active, please e-mail me at home@spacecoastbaseball.com
and I will either delete or update the link.
Where can I find webcast links for the minor league games?
The Brevard County Manatees do not webcast their games. Other Florida State League games may webcast
their games against the Manatees. Check the
Minor League Baseball Gameday Audio page for webcast links. The Viera Nationals and other Gulf Coast League teams do
not webcast as they operate out of their organizations' minor league complexes.
Why can't I use my favorite media player to play SpaceCoastBaseball.com media clips?
You need to use Windows Media Player. Some commercial enterprise sites have multiple formats
available, but I don't have the time or financial resources to do that. So deal with it. (smile)
I clicked on one of your audio/video clips but it won't play.
Do you have Windows Media Player installed on your computer? If not, use the Windows Media Player link in the navigation bar
to the left to download it. Although audio clips should stream just fine over any kind of connection, video clips
need a broadband connection, such as cable modem or DSL. Most businesses with connection to the Internet use T1 or
other broadband connections. Many businesses have installed firewalls on their networks that may block streaming media. You
may also have firewall software on your personal computer that blocks streaming media.
Can you get a message to a team or a player?
No. SpaceCoastBaseball.com has no official affiliation with any professional or amateur organization.
Can you give me personal information on a player?
No. A player's personal life is private. I strongly discourage any prying
into a player's personal life. If you want to send a player a fan letter, do it
through his team's Web site. You should otherwise respect the player's right to privacy.
Where can I locate a player's stats, or get current stats on each team?
Visit the Minor League Baseball Web site at http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/.
I think there's a mistake with a player's reported statistics. Can you get it fixed?
No. Teams are responsible for reporting their official game statistics to
Major League Baseball Advanced Media, which is officially contracted by Minor League Baseball to maintain
its statistics and records. If you believe a statistic is in error, you need to
contact the player's team.
Where can I find the stats/schedule/roster for minor league spring training, extended spring training, or fall
instructional league?
These are informal games played under loose rules, so the stats aren't reported. Schedules for the minor league
spring training and other leagues will be posted if/when available.
Will you post a link to my web site?
Sorry, no. I get bombarded with requests to post links to other sites. I choose not to do so. Such links imply an
endorsement, and I'm not in the endorsement business. I don't ask others to post SpaceCoastBaseball.com links on their
sites, so please don't ask me to post a link to your site on mine.
